Chocolate Mocha Shake

Summers are surely not my favourite time of the year, because of the heat forcing me indoors most of the times.I'm definitely a winter person, yet summers rekindles some of the best memories of growing up years. In India May - June are the summer vacations in school for complete two months. And because of the scorching heat on the plains, this was the time to visit the valleys, the hills. And in Northern India, there are many such nearby options to escape from the heat. Shimla, Manali, Naintal, Mussorie, Rishikesh, Chail, Lansdowne - they were so many options that we almost visited these places many times over. This is where I loved to be during summers - on top of a hill, will chilly breeze cascading my face. Just perfect!! And after coming back from such relaxing holidays we were so much more well behaved and easy going during the rest of the vacations.
Summers also meant visit to grandparents or cousins. In any case there would be a whole bunch of kids (cousins, friends, neighbors) at a single home playing carrom or cricket. And long summer days also meant to have something to chill and something to munch. So mummies (yes all mummies) would make some chilled drink for the kids. And while kulfi was everyone'e favourite yet I used to like Chocolate drinks too. And Chocolate Mocha is one such drink which I'm sharing today till I get my 'matkis" to make the kulfis.
